The National Science Foundation-NASA Exoplanet Observational Research program got a big boost as Penn State University announced it will build a next-generation planet finder that will be the partnership's centerpiece. This partnership aims to advance exoplanet science, and this NEID (pronounced NEE-id) instrument will detect planets from the tiny gravitational tug they exert on their stars.
