The Antarctic fur seal (Arctocephalus gazella) is one of eight seals in the genus Arctocephalus. As its name suggests, the Antarctic fur seal is distributed in Antarctic waters and is a fairly large animal with a short, broad snout, compared to others in the family. This blond fur seal, a rare color morph, was spotted in the region near Palmer Station along the Antarctic Peninsula in March 2013.
