A graduate student displays the Third Eye-IV vision system, a webcam-equipped haptic glove he helped design to help visually-impaired people shop for groceries independently. The glove was developed by a team of researchers working to create machines that can interpret a complex visual scene in the same manner as the human brain -- creating machines that can truly see.
